The SOLIPH program was developed by the Solar Energy Research Institute, SERI, now the National Renewable Energy Institute, NREL (Kutscher 1983) to model a wide range of industrial process heat systems. This program models specific systems and thus does not have the flexibil ity to model systems that were not considered in the original program. However, the authors can modify the code to investigate new systems. Because the program is not general, it does not have a high overhead.
